Enrique's artistic practice revolves around a quest for the inexpressible — the reality that transcends the merely visible.
Enrique Veganzones (b. 1965, Madrid) lives and works on Spain's southeastern coast. He holds degrees in Social Work and Fine Arts from the Universidad Complutense, Madrid, and completed doctoral studies in Philosophy at the University of Murcia. His practice explores the symbolic and numerical structures underlying everyday experience, working through traditional techniques — stucco, gilding, egg tempera — whose slow, laborious processes shape the meaning of the work itself. He has held residencies at Art House Holland, the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, and the National Trust of Georgia.
